For those whose calling it is to serve others, now is your moment to join our mission to provide quality care to every patient with compassion, collaboration, and innovation, to live our mantra to "Always Do The Right Thing!", and to collectively do our part to heal the world, one patient at a time.How you make a difference:Our Psychologists serve as active members or consultative members of a multidisciplinary Recovery Team, and are responsible for providing competency to stand trial evaluations, violence and suicide risk assessments, clinical interventions, and supervision of doctoral interns and post-doctoral residents, among other tasks.Key Responsibilities:Conducts psychological assessments, and forensic assessments such as competency to stand trial evaluations, and violence and suicide risk assessments.Provides expert testimony to the court.Supervises and trains the psychology students, including oversight of individual training such as competency groups, supportive sessions, and psycho-education.Demonstrates knowledge of FS 490, ethical and related clinical principles.Completes thorough, accurate, and timely documentation of services provided that consistent with professional standards and hospital procedures.Serves as a consultant to the multidisciplinary teams.Completes quantitative and qualitative chart reviews.Follows up on all PI recommendations pertaining to responsible area.Reviews all policies and procedures impacting responsible area.Provides training and education to the rest of the clinical team and serves on committees as needed.Demonstrates understanding of, and complies with special precautions, disaster and fire safety procedures, assists with finding alternatives to seclusion and restraint, knowledge of abuse reporting. Completion of mandatory training.Is sensitive to cultural diversity issues, treats patients as an individual, and considers the culture of the patients when providing care and treatment. Demonstrates cultural competency in all aspects of duties performed. This should be particularly evident in interactions with and treatment of patients.Is honest, consistent, fair, positive, nurturing in daily interactions.Is knowledgeable about care and treatment needs of patients of different ages. Provides individualized care and treatment that is consistent with/sensitive to the age and life span development needs of each patient. Demonstrates age specific competency in all aspects of duties performed.
