A Full-service interior design firm, specializing in custom
decoration, high-end renovations, and new construction seeks an
experienced Full-charge bookkeeper/Office Administrator to assist
in managing day-to-day operations and bookkeeping. The ideal
candidate has worked in the interior design industry and is a
skilled multi-tasker, eager to meet deadlines, can work
semi-autonomously, and has advanced QuickBooks skills.
Basic office duties such as answering phones, monitoring /ordering
office supplies, organizing schedules, booking appointments for
staff as well as for clients, etc.
Obtaining quotes from vendors; creating and managing client
estimates and invoicing (QuickBooks Online - QBO), as well as
Purchasing and tracking of orders
Weekly A/P & A/R, monthly reconciliations and general ledgers
Working with our accountant for tax preparation
Occasional client interaction (relating to billing and
Project expediting: coordinating and managing the ordering,
production, shipping, receiving, and install of all hardgoods, soft
goods and labor vendors for each project, in conjunction with the
Interior design office experience
Strong computer skills in QuickBooks Online, Excel, Word, and
Strong/proven understanding of A/P, A/R and general cash flow for a
Strong/proven understanding of P&Ls and balance sheets
Strong written and verbal communication skills (with vendors and
Ability to work in a fast-paced office
Strong problem-solver, solution-oriented, and pro-active
Associate's Degree or higher educational degree
Minimum 4 years QuickBooks experience (applicants without QBO will
NOT be considered
