A full-time position is available for a Special Education Teacher to lead an elementary self-contained Exceptional Student Education (ESE) classroom in Saint Johns, FL. This role involves working with students who have varying learning levels and exceptionalities, requiring a dedicated professional capable of promoting curriculum goals while effectively managing classroom behaviors. Responsibilities include planning and implementing individualized educational programs tailored to each student's needs, collaborating with other educators and support staff, monitoring student progress, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. The teacher will be expected to address behavioral challenges proactively and adapt instructional methods to meet diverse learning styles. Qualifications: - Florida ESE certification - Florida K-6 or PreK-3 General Education certification - Experience in a self-contained classroom setting - Ability to implement curriculum goals while managing complex classroom behaviors - Strong communication and collaboration skills This full-time contract position requires a commitment of 35 hours per week.
