Directs all volunteer services such as oversight for recruiting,
training, and placing volunteers in the various departments;
maintaining communication with all volunteers as well as the staff;
monitoring and evaluating volunteer activities and services,
including required competencies; and preparing all reports about
volunteer service hours required for accreditation and/or

needed, and serves as a problem-solving resource for

Provides ongoing recognition of volunteers and volunteer groups via
thank you card, birthday card program, illness follow up, and
writes nomination of volunteers for various department awards as
well as community, local, and state awards and recognition.
Provides oversight and coordination of fundraising campaigns and

Maintains a record keeping system, computer data, sign-in sheets,
and data reporting forms to meet reporting requirements of funding
sources and prepares monthly statistics, quarterly and annual

Provides updated information on changes in recruitment and training
of volunteers and gives updated information on changes in policy
and procedure for the volunteer department to HR Leaders.
Represents the facility at functions as assigned, maintains
membership in appropriate professional organization, and serves on
appropriate committees of these organizations.
Participates in information exchange and volunteer recruitment
consultations with regional volunteer programs within Cleveland
Clinic and provides information for various newsletters when
Updates policies and procedures for the volunteer department as
needed, identifies organizational and departmental needs, and
initiates solutions for improvement.
Evaluates outcomes of special events via meetings with staff and
volunteers serving in chairperson roles.
Compiles a monthly volunteer newsletter communicating the needs of
the department and any updates on changing policies or/and
procedures within the department.
Maintains competencies specific to the population served.
Follow hospital/system and department policies and procedures with
special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality,
dress code, and display of ID badge, and safety.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelors degree in business or Healthcare related field.
