Job Description:
The Purpose / Cause / Passion of TLPB Hospitality managed hotels
is to provide guests with a value-oriented experience among a
diversity of lodging options (value to luxury) while providing
exceptional financial returns to the owner.
Position Purpose / Principal Responsibilities:
The purpose of this position is to lead the 134 room, luxury
beachfront resort and spa team in compliance with Marriott
Autograph resort standards giving guests a memorable Palm Beach
resort experience while providing the owner with above-market
returns on the asset. The General Manager will inspire the team of
hospitality professionals to enjoy working at Tideline Palm Beach
such that it is reflected in the guest experience. The General
Manager will have a disciplined yet warm demeanor ensuring
compliance with the exceptionally high Marriott Autograph resort
standards while balancing the charm and indigenous qualities of
Tideline Palm Beach as a luxury beachfront destination.

Patrons:

Example of Duties / Essential Functions:
--- Lead the operations team to meet all financial objectives,
provide an extraordinary guest experience, and create / foster a
culture for team members to love where they work.
--- Set the culture for leadership team AND hourly team members of
leaving people and places better than you found them.
--- Lead with a hands-on approach, focused on getting things done
quickly and accurately.
--- Work with Marriott and all available channels to fill the hotel
with group and leisure room nights, local catering, and spa
appointments.
--- Hire best-in-class leaders who are disciplined and
compassionate who understand the balance of operations and
profitability.
--- Regularly interact with the Regional Director of Operations and
owner ensuring clear communication regarding the operations and
status of the resort.
--- Micromanage costs using all TLPB tools ensuring all KPIs are at
or below budgeted or reforecasted levels.
--- Lead the Senior Leadership Team using the Traction methodology
to keep team focused on objectives and achieving all targets.
Supportive Functions:
--- All aspects of the hotel operation; leading the team to meet
targets and objectives.
--- Participate in Palm Beach County Hotel Association activities
to drive tourism to Palm Beach County but targeting Tideline Palm
Beach. Participate in the Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce meetings
to drive business to Tideline Palm Beach. Note these activities are
NOT to deter from overseeing the day-to-day operations of Tideline
Palm Beach.

Safety Requirements:
It is doubtful you will need any Personal Protective Equipment
(PPE) to perform work duties that may have the potential of risk to
your health or safety. If so, the hotel will provide the required
PPE. Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of any
assigned PPE. It is your responsibility to replace defective,
damaged, or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit for your
personal use. Note, as General Manager, you might be on the
receiving end of team members informing you of defective, damaged,
or lost PPE. It is the General Manager's responsibility to ensure
all team members are properly equipped to perform their roles in a
safe manner.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and
abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can
perform the essential functions of the job, with or without
reasonable accommodation.
--- Entrepreneurial skills: ability to lead a small business and
drive results with support but minimal oversight.
--- Prior experience with Marriott's eco-system such that all brand
resources are leveraged to the maximum benefit to Tideline Palm
Beach.
o Group and catering revenue production.
o Revenue management.
o Digital marketing.
o Team member training resources.
o All other Marriott resources not listed but beneficial to the
success of Tideline Palm Beach.
--- Ability to set leadership team's priorities, milestones and
meet KPIs and targets.
--- Strong understanding of rooms revenue management inclusive of
rate setting, STR analytics, supply and demand manipulation and
Tideline Palm Beach's position in the market to drive maximum
RevPar. And how to leverage Marriott's services for both revenue
management and digital marketing to maximize RevPar.
--- Strong understanding of food and beverage operations. Executing
a concept, menu development (both food and beverage), pricing,
steps of service, low food and beverage cost of sales, matching
labor cost to service levels, OS&E commensurate with concept
and costs. The General Manager is expected to work with the
Director of F&B to deliver an extraordinary F&B product to
guests, groups, and catered events.
--- Strong understanding of resort amenity operations (pool, beach,
and Spa). And how these amenities integrate into the Tideline Palm
Beach guest experience while contributing to the profitability of
the resort.
--- Ability to read, write and speak English.
--- Ability to communicate effectively compassionately, concisely,
and definitively with guests and team members verbally and / or in
writing.
--- Ability to follow all safety procedures / standards and able to
recognize and act in emergency situations.
--- Ability to multi-task (address multiple projects at once).
--- More than proficient use of the Microsoft Suite of applications
(Excel, Word, PowerPoint, other).
--- Ability to draft reports as requested.
Qualification Standards
Education:
4 years of college, business or hospitality degree
preferred.
