Description:POSITION PURPOSEThe Primary Therapist is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care activities as directed by the Clinical Director. He/She will be responsible for patient caseload and will provide group, individual, and family therapy. The Primary Therapist will conduct psychosocial and bio-psychosocial assessments. He/She will collaborate with the Treatment Team to formulate the Master Treatment Plan and assist in coordinating discharge planning. The Primary Therapist has primary responsibility for maintaining communication with the family, referral source and other service providers as needed.
Requirements:POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION:

• Master's Degree in social work, psychology or related human services field.EXPERIENCE:
  • Two years of work experience in the behavioral health care setting.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
    • Licensure and/or (Intern License) to practice clinical discipline in the appropriate state, as applicable, required in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health counselor and/or Certified Addiction Professional.RESPONSIBILITIES:
      • Providing compassionate care to a full caseload, which includes individual, group and family therapy.
      • Conduct a variety of assessments, including bio-psychosocial assessments.
      • Conduct weekly progress notes.
      • Develop Treatment Plans, and will assist in coordinating discharge planning.
      • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary team to ensure all aspects of client care.
