Registered Nurse Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Location: Hialeah, FL Job Type: Contract This position offers an opportunity to deliver specialized nursing care in a high-acuity cardiovascular operating room setting. The CVOR team supports complex cardiac surgeries, providing comprehensive perioperative care to patients undergoing various cardiovascular procedures. Responsibilities: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care before, during, and after cardiovascular surgeries Ensure sterile techniques are maintained throughout surgical procedures Prepare and verify availability of necessary equipment, medications, and supplies for surgery Document surgical progress, patient outcomes, and handle specimens appropriately Participate in call rotations approximately every other day and weekend, supporting patient care needs May provide lunch relief coverage across surgical specialties including Vascular, Robotics, General, Orthopedics, Neuro/Spine, Urology, Podiatry, Thoracic, and Plastic Surgery Required Qualifications: Active RN license with at least 2 years of current experience in an acute CVOR environment Certification in ACLS and BLS Familiarity with cardiac surgical procedures such as CABG, MVR, AVR, pacemaker implantation, laser lead extractions, thoracic and endovascular surgeries Experience or interest in minimally invasive cardiac surgery preferred Additional Details: Patient ratio typically 2:1 Use of open heart instrumentation, TEE, and ultrasound equipment Documentation via Meditech electronic medical records Scrubs provided by facility About the Location: Situated in Hialeah, Florida, this role puts you in an area known for its vibrant community and cultural diversity.
