SummaryThis is a skilled senior level position that focuses on providing customer service, leading other concession attendants through processing customer transactions, cash handling, and/or in the preparation of the serving of food and inventory of food, beverages and supplies. Work is reviewed through employee observation, facility inspection written and oral reports.In the event of a natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee may be required to perform emergency duties as directed.Essential Duties / Responsibilities & KSA's(Note: The listed duties are illustrative only and are not intended to describe each and every function, which may be performed in the job class. The omission of specific statements does not preclude management from assigning specific duties not listed herein if such duties are a logical assignment to the position.)Lead concession attendants in operating a concession facility by preparing and providing patrons with food, supplies, refreshments, and various confectionery items in demand.Lead concession attendants in preparing food and equipment for daily concession operations by monitoring and controlling food portions, quantity and quality of food prepared.Ensures fees are collected and other charges from the guest while operating a POS (Point of Sale) computerized revenue collection system.Balance cash drawer to ensure money received matches sales processed.Maintain accurate sales and cash receipts records; record all transactions in ledger, prepare and maintain revenue reports, inventory reports and incident reports as necessary.Stock and collect revenues from vending machines.Take inventory of supplies and equipment to maintain stock at required operational level; receive and account for all merchandise handled at the facility; reconcile delivery documents with orders received and forward documents for processing.Prepare and maintain inventory reports and incident reports as necessary.Lead concession attendants in cleaning and maintaining the concession facility and equipment; and maintaining the safety and security of facility and equipment.Answer phone inquiries and give information to the public accurately and courteously.Provide quality customer service by answering customer questions, providing courteous and prompt customer service and resolving customer service problems.Work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.Performs work related to this job description as required.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:(Note: The knowledge, skills, and abilities identified in this class specification represent those needed to perform the duties of this class. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)Knowledge of food and beverage inventory, preparation and appropriate handling.Knowledge of safety procedures and basic first aid techniques.Knowledge of the principles and practices of cashiering, and business math.Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette and procedures.Ability to make rapid and accurate math computations, reconcile money/accounts and maintain records.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, officials, and the general public.Ability to exercise tact and courtesy when dealing with the public.Ability to lead concession staff members.Ability to handle stressful situations.Ability to work with limited supervision and make decisions.Ability to write accurate reports and maintain records.Ability to make standard decisions in accordance with procedures and regulations and to apply these to work problems.Ability to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions.Education and ExperienceMust be at least eighteen (18) years of age or older and two (2) years of restaurant or concession and customer service experience required. Possession of High School Diploma or an acceptable equivalency diploma preferred.Additional qualifying education and/or experience which provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted one for the other on a year for year basis.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Upon assignment. must possess Current Food Service Handler certification within thirty (30) days of employment (certification offered on premise).Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
