Position - - - - - : Human Resources Assistant

Location : Stuart, FL

Duration : 12 Months Contract

Start Time : 9:00 AM

End Time : 5:30 PM

Total Hours/week : 40.00


Position Purpose:

  • To provide clerical support to the Human Resources Director and general human resources department to include focus areas of employee selection and recruitment, on-boarding, benefits, and separation

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Performs internal support functions by facilitating employee requests and providing follow-up messages to members of the human resources department
    • Provides application, documentation ,and administration of assessments for applicants in accordance with the HR selection and Hiring policy
    • Schedules applicant interviews with applicable management team members
    • Facilitates coordination of candidate information to management team members in advance of each candidate interview
    • Creates new hire documentation packets and supports new hire welcome programs with the HR Director and HR Coordinator
    • Audits each new hire group's completed documentation before submitting for final review to the HR Director and HR Coordinator
    • Creates new hire personnel file folders and medical folders to accompany new hire documentation once audited and submitted to the HR Director and HR Coordinator
    • Completes new hire employment verifications as provided by the HR Coordinator under the direction of the HR Director
    • Creates benefit packets in advance of all employee newly eligible benefit meetings
    • Files all active, inactive, and medical documentation received and generated internally for LMS personnel
    • Assists HR Coordinator and HR Director with personnel retention initiatives to include LMS employee charity dress code, employee discount program, and service awards
    • Assists with personnel audits as directed by the HR Director

      Ancillary Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Maintains a positive work atmosphere that embodies Liberator's philosophy- to build a place where people can receive the care and respect they deserve
      • Makes photocopies, sends faxes, e-mail scans or performs other clerical functions to include facilitation of intra-office correspondence
      • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned

        Reporting Relationship Responsibilities:

        • No supervisory responsibilities
        • Provides work direction only
        • Provides work direction plus has responsibility for hiring, promotions, transfers, performance management, discipline, and discharge.

          Minimum Requirements or Qualifications:

            • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED);
            • one to two years related experience and/or training.



              • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret employment related documentation, technical procedures, and/or training tools. Ability to write internal and external business correspondence.
              • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, team members, and/or employees.


                • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
                • Ability to apply intermediate math skills.


                  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
                  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
                  • Advanced analytical reasoning to include ability to forecast exponentials within work flow processes and reason against outside factors.


                    • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Suite of Programs, knowledge of Access or other database software.


                      • Knowledge of administrative telecommunications software limited to voice mail, transferring a call, and dialing internally and externally

                        Licensure or Certifications required:

                        • No certifications required
