Hurricane Maria created significant damage to the built environment
stretching the capabilities of building code professionals.
This opportunity is to work with local building code professionals
to provide inspection and design review services and at the same
time be a Mentor and Trainer for
local inspectors to give them real on-the-ground experience as well
as assist them in obtaining ICC Certifications.

- Performs daily
field inspections of primarily residential
- Interacts with
the public and explains technical information to both technically
and non-technically trained individuals.
residential and commercial plans and engineering calculations for
building components to ensure compliance with applicable
accurate records to document inspections, test results, and
additional details pertaining to inspections.
computer logs of inspection reports, entering inspection results
into permitting software.
- Mentor and Train local inspectors by accompanying them onsite
and prepare them to become ICC certified
- ICC Inspector
certifications in multiple trades required.
- 3+ years of
experience with Interpretation of codes in the field providing code
knowledge of implementing ICC building codes and current

mentor and teach local inspectors so they can become more
proficient with code understanding and applications.
- Must possess
the ability to positively interact with the other staff members,
the public, contractors, governmental entities, and other
verbal and written communication skills.
