ELATEC is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist at our Palm City, Florida location. (This position must be worked on site in Palm City.)

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for establishing and maintaining quality levels of products from the supply base through to the customer by driving an effective quality system. This role will lead all QA programs and activities at the Palm City location. This includes ensuring compliance to ISO quality standards through activities such as conducting internal audits, collaborating in the review and updates of work process documentation, regulatory requirements, root cause analysis of non-conformities, and documentation of investigations. In short, this role utilizes tools such as auditing, process evaluation, and trend analysis to achieve continuous improvement and business objectives. This is an exciting role for someone with technical training and QA/QC experience, who is ready to take their knowledge and experience and move to the next step in their professional career with a great organization. Someone who wants to be involved in developing, documenting and training the QA/QC process across the organization, as well as overseeing the QC of incoming and finished product, and analyzing and documenting non-conformities. Someone who is familiar with ISO standards and can maintain those standards (procedures and documentation) within our facility. This is a "Team of One" that works collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders, so it's ideal for a 'doer" who wants to handle the day-to-day work. Key Responsibilities of this position:

  • Establish documentation of processes, and ensure continuous review of processes, including corrective actions
  • QC of incoming product and finished product
  • Non-conformity and Corrective Action documentation and root cause analysis
  • Reporting of trends and findings Education (Required):
    • Minimum of Associates degree, Vocational Certification or other certification in a technical field is required. Education (Preferred):
      • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Scientific discipline preferred
        Experience (Required):
        • At least 2 years of experience in a Quality Control/Quality Assurance role involving electronics or other technical products. (An equivalent combination of educational experience and process management skills in a technical product environment will be considered).
        • Experience with quality trending analysis and reporting
        • Working knowledge of Six Sigma methodology and techniques
        • Working knowledge of ISO regulated manufacturing standards
          Experience (Preferred):
          • Six Sigma certification
          • ASQ CQE Certification Required Skills:
            • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
            • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
            • Exceptional communications skills, both written and oral, with the ability to influence and motivate others
            • Ability to clearly express research
            • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and delegate effectively in a high-pressure environment.
            • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
            • Ability to interpret technical instructions, establish, document, and follow procedures
            • Flexibility, with the ability to easily adapt to changes within the work environment, delays, or unexpected events
