Job Description Job Description Job title : Senior Accountant Location: 100% on-site in West Palm Beach Pay range: $43-$50/hour DOE Job Type: Contract to Hire Job Summary The candidate will work as a Senior Accountant in West Palm Beach, overseeing accounting procedures and internal controls while assisting with month-end close processes and financial report preparation. They will ensure compliance with accounting best practices and GAAP, manage financial data integrity and accuracy, and support M&A due diligence and integration. Related Job Titles: Accountant, Financial Analyst Skill Requirements Must-Have: Advanced Excel skills Working knowledge of GAAP Experience in accrual-based accounting Organizational auditing skills Fixed asset accounting expertise Preferred: Experience with M&A due diligence Strong computer usage experience (Word, PowerPoint) Skills/Education Requirements: Excel: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are necessary to analyze data effectively and create complex spreadsheets for reporting purposes. GAAP: Generally Accepted Accounting Principles are standards that accountants must follow to ensure consistency and transparency in financial reporting. Accrual-based Accounting: This method records revenues and expenses when they occur rather than when cash transactions happen. Organizational Auditing: Skills required to examine an organization's accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws or regulations. Fixed Asset Accounting: Involves tracking the company's long-term assets like property or equipment for depreciation purposes. Must hold a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or business administration. Possess 3 to 5 years' experience in audit/accounting, financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting and trend analysis.
